Spare tire for Crown Spokes 17"?

Is it true that if I select the sport package for the S with Crown Spokes 17" performance tires (non runflat) then the car comes with a spare tire?

TIA

I don't think you get a spare with the S no matter what size wheels you select. That was definitely the case with the R53 due to the exhaust layout. Not so sure about the R56 since the exhaust doesn't split into two mufflers.

MiniCooper4Me2,

NoSpareTire4You2!

The S does not come with a spare.
Your options are:
1. buy a spare to carry around in the car with you
2. trust the runflats and drive to repair shop/dealer for repair (replacement?)
3. buy a rack to carry a spare outside the vehicle.
4. switch to non-runflats and carry a kit that will allow you to repair your small puncture flats on the road (dont forget a jack and a compressor)

The Crown Spokes tires are non-runflats!

All 16" and 17" tires for the MCS are run-flats.

Anyone know what it's like driving on a run-flat when it's flat? How much control will be retained? Will everyone be waving their hands like mad telling me I'm running on a flat tire, or is tire shape reasonably preserved even when flat?

That's what I asked to my agent, he said it's like driving with only 1/2 the air in a regular tire... The purpose is to avoid getting stuck on the side of the road and to make it to the nearest garage.

When I checked the trunk, I realized they forgot to put the Jack in the compartment ah!

That's what my MA told me. How could you sell a car with non-runflats, no spare and no jack? Something tells me that wouldn't fly.

If that's the case then the configurator is kind a misleading. When I select the Web Spokes option, it specifically says the tires are run-flats. But when I select Crown Spokes, it just says performance tires. That 's why I'm assuming the Crown wheels come with non-runflats. Am I missing something here?

Performance = Summer Run Flats (for lack of a better term)

Further off to the right in the configurator you can select all-season tires, they are runflats too.

I found this confusing as well and did not find this out until recently.

I confirmed with my MA last weekend.....MCS = no spare (due to exhaust location) and no jack.
