Obviously, mine's week 11. Should get a VIN sometime next week. My car will be:

I posted in week 10 because I'm not sure which I am. I have a production number that has a Sub Prod date of 3/10 and a Conf Prod date of 3/11. So, maybe I'm here. Either way, it still shows up as "on order."

This week is week 10. At least, according to my MA and Ask Mini.

 

And confirmed by that fancy scientific gizmo ... the calendar.

 

Hmm....I guess I was just confused because of all of the people in the week 10 thread who were built last week and are already on ships.

 

Yes, I think they were early a bit. I was told week 10 and when they started work last week, they said that since it would be done THIS week, it was week 10. However, that doesn't explain others who were week ten, and started and finished last week, but whatever.

On the upside, you'll be started really soon now, hopefully! After all, the week 11s can't be TOO far behind the week 10ers.

 

Here's hoping. This is worse than being a kid and waiting for Christmas.

 

I've also posted in the week 10 thread, however since my MINI won't be done until March 12 maybe I should be here. I think I'll stick with this thread, so many of the week 10 people have their MINI's already finished and on ships, it makes me crazy.

 

I just called 1-866-ASK-MINI and was told that my baby is scheduled for week 11 production too!

My specs are...

LB/W NO stripes (I'm having Viper style white stripes installed here after delivery w/LB stripes across the roof/sunroof)

I think that's it... Once it gets home it will get Viper style white stripes on the boot and bonnet and laser blue stripes across the roof and sunroof, tinted windows and I will install the JCW STB and the bumper strip. I can't see paying the dealer $125 to R&R 6 bolts to install a STB nor to peel and stick the bumper protector.

I still haven't come up with a name for him, I guess he'll tell me once I take possession of him. I say "him" because all manual tranny cars are male. If you think about it you will realize why but if you get stumped, PM me and I'll explain my theory.

 

OK, this is the week 11 thread that should have really been the week 10 thread, because the calender doesn't lie. The important thing here is that are cars are entering the line toward completion, for the USA.

 

The website still says "On Order," but I just called AskMini and they told me that my car went into production on the 5th and is scheduled to be completed on the 12th.

Keep checking. My info said on order on Saturday and by the next day showed the VIN and in production. A call to AskMini on Monday revealed they started production on Saturday the third and to be completed on the 11th.

 

Good call on that. A couple of hours ago it was still "On Order." Now I have a VIN and everything.

 

That's great. Both of our experiences also show that they are updating the website throughout the week. I had read on an earlier post that updates only happened once a week.

 

Still nothing. the OL still lists me as On Order. I called Ask Mini and they have the same info. I was told by my sales manager and by several Ask Mini reps that i was scheduled in pencil for Week 11. Thats just a few days away.
Anyone in Week 11 have further info?

I dont want to be a broken record but i really want to pick the car up before the middle of May. My dealership leaves all of its vehicles (except the ones in the showroom) outside in the hot San Diego inland sun....

Heck, I'd rather delay it and have it built later than the alternative of it basking in the sun unprotected.

 

Did you get a print out from the dealer with the production numbers and dates? What does it say?

Mine has 2 numbers, one is week 10 and one is week 11. No one could ever explain the difference or which week thread I should be posting in. My best guess now is that it was set to start in week 10 and finish in week 11. Even still, I like it here best.

The information that is available changes quickly. I went from "on order" last week and didn't find out until Friday that I was scheduled for production. Yesterday, I was in the body shop and by today, I'm being splattered with paint.

 

Mine apparently went into production on Monday and is supposed to be finished this coming Monday. However, if things move that quickly I may have to call AskMini tomorrow to see just how Basil is coming along.
