I don't like my cars to attract a lot of attention. If my Porsche hadn's been red I wouldn't have gotten in trouble 20 years or so ago. Everyone knows that sometimes MINI's misbehave by them selves so I don't like advertise it. I like the twin side stripes with the word MINI on them. But I would like them to be seen if you really look for them. Anyone ever put black stripes on an Astro Black MINI? Got pics?

 

That might be a little too "under the radar" . How about frost stripes? They look fantastic on jet black (at least in pics). I love the astro black, and frost stripes might be a beautiful "subtle" look.

 

That was my first idea, but not sure how it would look in the sun shine when the paint turns to a blue instead of black.

 

I think the frost would be sweet, and I am a Astro black owner, I have the bonnet stripes with the black outline on them for some reason my dealer decided ( they were free cannot complain) and you cant tell that they are there unless you are looking directly at them, so it would be a very subtle look if you did a black stripe.

 

TOO subtle.

It's a MINI, for Heaven's sake ! You're going to be noticed whether you make the stripes black, white, or orange.

 

I have frosted S on both sides... I like it!

 

Yep, the frosted does look pretty good with out being a flag waiver of 'hey look at me'. That might be the answer.

 

My first thought was black stripes on black. I still think it would look really cool, even though I ended up getting a hyper blue MCC
