Wire Wheels with Spinners
Wire Wheels with Spinners
To have a true british car, you need wire wheels with spinners... hopefully knock off spinners. Anyone know where I can get some hi-performance 17" wheels for my 2006 MCS?
Thanks

Personally for a "true british car" I like this design from tirerack.com which is classic for the MINI

ASA JH6 17x7
$195 for silver painted, $295 for chrome finish (19 lbs.) each, et +42mm
Or how about this O.Z. 35th anniversary 17x7" rim

Machined with Black accent for $249 each, et +42mm

I'm not sure?
With all the infor about rough rides (with runflats) and mushrooming strut towers, I'm not sure "i" would consider wires. I've owned several vintage British cars and wire wheels have their own issues. They look great, but if you want to improve handling with less unsprung weight. (IMHO) Think lighter is better.
Bwahahahahahaha!
Flscott, all the negatives mentioned here are true, but if you are determined to take this path, here's a second vote for Dayton. They are the real deal. Perhaps it would be worth a call to them to discuss the pro's and con's of our application.
classic minis never had wire wheels ....... living in the uk ive never seen a classic with wire wheels the classic wheel of chioce was the minilite see below that was fitted to all the cooper works cars there is a version for the new mini but i cant remeber the web site
