Drivetrain (Cooper S) MINI Cooper S (R53) intakes, exhausts, pulleys, headers, throttle bodies, and any other modifications to the Cooper S drivetrain.

Drivetrain Has anyone here put a header on an MCS Automatic?

Has anyone here put a header on an MCS Automatic?

If so, which one did you use? Did you have any fitment problems?

I ask because someone told me the other day that the engine is moved slightly with the automatic...it may be that they were wrong or that the change is minimal and/or that the play in the exhaust system accomodates this.

i have the megan header on my mcsa
there was some issues fitting the test pipe section
i had my stock cat welded to it and with a little adjustment it fits perfect now

What kind of issues? Was the pipe offset to one side or the other or ??

yup the pipe was offset so it didn't line up, but it was close
i drove it with a small leak for 2 days they took to get the cat put in

I put the MTH Header on my MINI, only because I have the MTH Modpackage. it was easy took about 3 hours. No fitment problem what so ever, it was LOUD at first then after it was broke in I LOVE IT>
