New Zaino Product Review

All of you should be aware by now that Zaino has 2 new products. Zaino All In One (AIO) and Clear Seal (CS) are his latest offerings. Used them both on my '99 black Jeep Cherokee with extraordinary results.

AIO was applied with my Porter Cable random orbital and didn't take a lot of time. It can be applied by hand, but the polisher is so much more labor friendly. Drying did not take a long time and the residue was removed with a DF Concours towel. I then went over the finish with Z6 Gloss Enhancer to ensure that all residue was removed before applying CS.

It is important to shake the CS before use and to preload the applicator pad. I applied 2 or 3 sprays of CS (Zaino says 1, but 2 or 3 initially seemed to work better for me) to the pad, and then holding the bottle about 4" from the surface, give a single spray and work into the finish over a 18" to 24" area. No hard rubbing is necessary, just get it covered. You can apply CS to any exterior surface...textured plastic, rubber moldings, glass, chrome, lenses, etc. Let it dry until it disappears and you're done.

AIO by itself has a durability of 3 to 4 months. Top it with CS and the durability goes to 9 months.

I doubt that my 135,000 mile Jeep looked this good when it was new! I even applied it to the glass and it looks awesome. As fantastic as looks now, it can be enhanced even further by adding Z2 and or Z5 to further increase the gloss, depth, and wet look that Zaino is so famous for. I'll add those to the finish when I have time and top it again with CS.

All you need to do to maintain the finish is to use Z6 and/or Z8 and Z7.

My website, www.zainocharlotte.com, had not yet been updated to show the new AIO and CS. I have them in stock and are priced at $26.95 and $29.95, respectively.

First - It would be hard to claim a 9 month durability when the product has only been available for about a week. Of course if you are an insider then you probably got an advanced sample. If so then I would have to qualify your post as non-independent propaganda. I'm sure a NAMer will do some independent testing and report back.

Second - The order of your use seems to contradict the Zaino publication. I was under the impression after reading the Zaino literature that the CS is used on top of the Z-5/Z-2 treated paint to prolong the life of those products. It wouldn't make much since to have a 9 month durability product under a 3 or 4 month product. Reverse the order and then you can have your shine much longer.

There are a couple of NAMers who have applied the AIO & CS, I'll wait for their report.

Zaino does not release any new product until extensive and prolonged testing has been completed. His test of Clear Seal exceeds the 9 month period stated on the product.

All In One by itself has a durability of 3 to 4 months. Adding Clear Seal on top of that will extend the durability as stated.

I am not one to post frivolous information. Call Sal himself if you like at 732.833.8800 and I've no doubt he will verify the content of my post. Best time to reach him is 9AM til about 10:30 AM.

I've talked with Sal before and I'm not doubting his literature. All I'm saying is that I would prefer to get reviews from an independent source rather than another Zaino source.
As far as the CS goes, I read that the proper order would be AIO, Z-5/Z-2 then CS. I don't see a benefit of putting CS under the Z-5/Z-2 steps if they don't last as long.

Clear Seal can be put on top of any product, including wax after it's cured, to extend the durability. Depending on one's goals, they wouldn't have to put Z2 or Z5 on top of AIO followed by Clear Seal. You can go right from AIO to Clear Seal if you like which is exactly what I did.

The purpose of my original post was only to relate my experience with the new products.

I'm not dis'ing you here STeece. I appreciate your post and your inside knowledge of the Zaino products.
I'm just trying to get clarification as to why you would put Z-2 over CS. I know you could but why? If CS is designed to increase the durability of any product it is applied over, why would you go from AIO to CS then Z-2?
