I'm very excited--Charleston's my hometown, and I'm driving my brand new Rocky from Austin! I expect we'll finish the break in somewhere on this road trip.

And hey, my dad told me long ago that SC police were special, that you had to drive the speed limit. Is that still true? I should have a friend's fuzz buster.

Welcome back! About the speed - as long as you don't go 10 or more over the limit, you should be fine (SC HP). Now when you get into city-limits, it's your own call.

At least this is my experience.

Am I posting to the wrong place, btw, about meeting MINI drivers in Charleston? It's very quiet here . . . should I try the other forum that includes the Carolinas?

 

You can either post here or in the M2C2 section or maybe the Tarheel one. It depends on what part of the Carolinas you are visiting.
Look in the different ones and you'll see where everyone posts from.

 

I posted to M2C2, but I'm only going as far as Charleston. Staying with family. I figured it would be fairly easy to meet MINI folks while I'm there, given this group exists. We'll see--I certainly will understand if it doesn't happen.

unfortunately you we don't see many folks in Charleston posting. I would say I would get together with you but I will be out west when youa re here.
