Intercooler in and out temps

I have read a lot of posts about in and out intercooler temps,

some of you with either DFIC or larger top mount intercoolers are probably asking yourselves how much difference they really make.

Now is your chance, we were asked to make this gauge available to you.

Available thru our website

thanks

Victor

I was wondering when/if anyone was going to bring this gauge here. Thanks Victor.
$480 is still kinda high for a gauge, but cheaper than i've seen elsewhere. Maybe a group buy item?
Is it possible to post some pics of the sensors and thermocouple adapters?
Does it only display centigrade?

Partsman,

Sorry I do not have any other pics at this time.

$480 sure is a lot of money, but that will buy you the BEST gauge available.

This price was negotiated directly with SPA, therefore no group buys.

Well, it didn't hurt to ask.

Does it only display centigrade, Victor? I like to read temps in fahrenheit.

Please post more pics when you can.

That is a nice gauge, but I like the idea of seeing inlet and outlet temps at the same time. That gauge will only show one or the other or the difference.

For the 200 dollar difference I can flip the switch from time to time

jaridp,

you are not jacking my thread,

Your product does not compare to the SPA gauge offered.

It might be half the price, but the quality is half as good

Maybe this is why you do not even name the manufacturer of your product.

SPA TECHNIQUE has a reputation, they build the best gauges in the world.

All I know is that my gauge has been in my car for a little over two years and is still working. Of course it compares...they both do the same thing...measure temps. they both show in and out tems...just differently. You have stated before that the products you sell dont compare to other products in the market..YOUR products arent the best just because YOU sell them....The gauge that I purchased from MINI Madness were originally designed for intercoolers on aircrafts. I think the manufacturer is Lockheed.. And as far as I was aware....aircraft parts were of MUCH higher quality standards than automotive..

Yes, you might be able to flip the switch,

But where do you fit it in the current pods available.

Our gauge will fit the alta, craven, and others......

you can add another SPA dual gauge on the other side of the pod
and monitor
oil pressure/oil temp
or oil/water temp
or boost/temp

many choices, all from SPA

call me crazy... but i don't think you really have to monitor your in and out intercooler temps on a daily basis.

I think most would just use it for testing purposes... after the test(s) concludes you would likely take the gauge off...

I think the madness gauge would be the tool that i would go with especially for the money and the time actualy used.

When you think about it there are many other more important gauges than the in/out temp for the intercooler... like an oil pressure gauge, and oil temp gauge...

Once again the classic... Does not Compare line!

So have price always means half as good? Another great theory. I even remember reading your post that stated some of your prices were higher because all your stuff is imported from europe and the value of the US dollar is so weak. So if the value of the US dollar was stronger and both gauges were closer on price does the quality of the madness come up or does the quality of the spa go down?

Wow.. I am not the only person who sees this...

Get creative... Isn't that what the tuner seen is about. I am sure there is more than one place in the mini to cleanly mount a rectangular gauge.

Looks good. Nice to have four gauges instead of two. Unfortunately it's like paying for 6-8 of them. Ah, tradeoffs.:impatient

I don't disagree that its pricy but for those wanting to monitor both in and out IC temps - this is pretty much the ultimate guage to do it with.

I wouldn't mind seeing one in my car.

yeah, if I had some coin, it wouldn't be too bad of an option. I like guages though, and while monitoring somehting everyday might not happen, it sure is nice to look down and know whenever one wants to.

Victor, any chance you will be able to get special pricing on other Spa gauges?

What about a group buy discount? Any chance of that Victor? I'm interested but the price is a bit more than I want to spend...

I am trying to answer all your questions in one post,

First of all, I want to remind all of you that SPA gauges are not for everyone. They are bloody expensive.

Grahammxx, your interior looks fantastic with these gauges, very classy, good taste.

Lets talk pricing, I was asked by SPA to offer you this gauge at the price of $480, SPA has it for sale on their website for over $600. So there will not be a group buy in the future.

Kapps, we can offer all other SPA gauges, please check the SPA website and call us for special pricing.

Again, this is not the gauge for everyone,
I am sure you can find some other gauges for a fraction of the cost,
either square, rectangle or other.

This is a new product from SPA, and made specifically for the MINI, so this is why they asked us to bring it here.

If you do not like it, or if you think that SPA gauges are too expensive and not worth the money, by all means go buy something else.

Interesting, its always the two same local Arizona boys, that have always something bad to say about the product offered........ if you can't afford it, we understand.

Always striving to bring you the best

Victor

Can you explain how this one is MINI specific?
I would still like to see the sensors and thermocouples and where the gauge is plumbed.

I am glad you posted it, while I might not be able to buy it, any time someone develops parts for our cars is never a bad thing.

Partsman,

I do not have one in my hands, nor do I have any other pictures.

I was told by our friends at SPA, that this gauge was designed with the MINI owners in mind.

I trust them, they are the experts
