I bought my MCS on July 2, 2002, and was told I had the 8th "S" in the state. I was just wondering how many other 2002 MINI's are out there, and if you have one, what month did you recieve it.

 

I bought mine on June 7th 2002 in New York and drove it back to Colorado.

It was the very first non-demo Dark Silver Cooper S in Colorado.

I got my 02/02 build MINI Cooper in May 2002

I'm at the 1-year anniversary of motorin'

9900 Miles in a year. (I work from home) and I'm at 100 miles-to-service!

 

Ordered April 24, 2002, took delivery July 1, 2002. 4100 miles (it's a small island). Only dealer visits for CD upgrade to fix CVT stalling (worked), replacement of leatherette around gearshift which came unglued and the third brake light which shattered all by itself when closing the boot hatch. #64 from my dealer.

 

I got my 5/02/02 build Mini 'S' on June 27, 2002. 6,200 fun filled, problem free miles so far. I did not drive my car during the winter, I bought it as a 'fun' car and I like to keep it clean and looking new and in New England winter really can ruin a new car. Bought my car from New Country MINI in Hartford, CT.

Got mine in August/02 and have 6000 miles. Weekend driver only and only had a coolant tank problem. Wish I could drive it more but I have a company car and a Harley to ride.

I picked mine up Oct 2nd, 2002. I now have over 13k problem free miles on it.

I had a dear lady friend who, back in the day, owned the first MGA in the state of Texas...a red one! She was always proud of this fact and told the story all the time! It was great! Y'all enjoy those '02s!!! :smile:

Picked up on July 18, 2002...customer spec.

 

Ordered our 2002 MINI Cooper CVT on June 30th, 2002 and took delivery on September 7th, 2002 from Lauderdale MINI. 6,700 troublefree miles.

Ours was built early August 2002, last of the 2002 model year MINIs.

 

I have a 2002 S, picked up in Hartford, CT in Aug...

 

2002 Cooper S, June 20something, Princeton MINI... but I'm not proud of it!

MCS....last week of May 02, can't remember exact date.....15,400 miles, have never used the rear power adapter, heard they eliminated them on the 03's....still drive the benz coupe on long trips for the comfort of the seats and longer wheel base, but I have a 50 yr old back which works fine around town...lol!

 

Picked up our BRG & White CVT Cooper, Brooksie, June 11th 2002, and have over 22,000 wonderful miles. Goin' to Scottsdale for Mom's Day, gonna put some more miles on. Luv our MINI!

Picked up our PS/B MC June 1st '02. no problems yet except the hatch rattle and seat squeak.
That first month, I was actually disappointed my commute was only 20 minutes long--felt jealous of those with the hour-long commutes.
We're going to celebrate Maxine's anniversary with a camping trip, though car-camping with her may be more like backpacking!

I thought that there would be more 02's then that.

 

June 21st here.

 

Ordered on June 17th, built on July 23rd and pick it up on August 19th.

Around 16,800 miles, a few small issues and only one major *****, maybe that will go away tomorrow.

 

02/02 Build MINI Cooper 5-speed recieved 05/02 almost 10,000 miles so far.
