Jan.02 build date. This has got to be one of the first batch to arrive in this country, which brings up a question. Does anyone know how to determine from the vin # what # "S" to roll off the assembly line? I would really like to know. BTW, only 2 minor problems, both fixed. 17k trouble free miles. Motor On,

Ordered on May 3 2002 - MINI arrived on July 17th number 139 from Towson MINI- 16890 miles and loving it. Velvet Red, prem, sport, leather, CVT, Cold. Small issue with CVT fixed the second time at dealer.

Ordered March 4, '02...not sure when it was built.....picked the car up Aug.3 or 4, '02. Some minor stuff, which was all fixed. 13,000 miles on it or there about. Gonna beat the tar out of it this summer doing auto-X, stock class, women's novice class.

 

I got on the dealer's pre-list list in June of '01. Actually ordered when the dealership opened in April of '02. Built September of '03. Delivery October 18, '02. :smile:

Been obsessing ever since (well, actually before then, but no one here's counting )

 

"Gnome" PS/Blk MCS build date 6/02. Took delivery in 7/02. I now have over 10,000 fun filled miles racked up. Only problem was the leaking coolant tank. I realized just today that I have the electrical outlet in the boot/hatch area. DUH!

I still haven't checked if I have the emergency hatch release cable under the rear seat. I'll save that surprise for later.
