19%-injectors-GIAC owners, unite!

Hi motorers,

I just got my 19%, JCW injectors and GIAC update today. I've had 15% and GIAC prior to that.

I really love the upgrade and ask myself why I have waited so long to get it done. It adds power across the whole RPM and is so smooth!

Now, I think we should find a name for that kit. Audi/VW owners have the Eliminator kit (big Garrett turbo, injectors, FMIC, ECU, ...)

We need to find a name for the 19%/GIAC/380cc injectors!

Submit your ideas! Don't be shy!

Had it for a year and a half, and usually just call it the Helix setup. Or you could call it by its original name the Smooth kit

Just look for a GIAC dealership in your area. That's the most important piece of the puzzle. The 19% pulley, belt & injectors could be any brand/manufacturer.

After this thread popped up, and thanks to BFG for the link, I'm very seriously considering this now. Sounds like just what I'm looking for plus shouldn't break the $1k barrier, the JCW 380 injectors are now selling for much less than before. (Helix $295, Outmotoring $290)

I already have the Helix pulley hub, so I could just swap out the 15% for the 19% and change the belt...

GIAC dealership close by...

Sell the Unichip...

AAAARRGGHHH DARN MODDING BUG!!!!!!!!!!

The ECU module can be unplugged and shipped to Helix, call ahead to make sure they’re not going to close early for funerals, babies, cheese steak, donuts, or beer thirty and you’ll get rapid turn around; the rest can be done yourself.

There are some instances of “bad tunes” (not the Helix/GIAC) cropping up along with cautions against “flash” programs by some other unfortunate individuals. I installed the “Smooth” kit or as I refer to it the “F-U-N” kit on top of a modified head along with other improvements and my A/F ratios were very safe, and fairly flat to boot, throughout the power band. I’ve never seen the high coolant temps so often cited as the reason not to go 19%. I do have high IATs above 6,000 rpm but there’s not much reason to go there except at the drag strip.

I vote for Helix Setup or Helix Kit.
