I don't really have anything to do with my car, but I'll try to stop in and say "hi" and maybe help out with something.

I will try to stop by as well. Sounds like a fun day and Wife want to come back up to Raleigh and spend my money. Won't be doing any mods but enjoy watching others get theirs done. I think Saturday will be best for me.

Great! Just in time for the brake job I've been needing.
Gotta order those parts.
I can also help anyone else with whatever they have planned. I'll bring the MINI Bible

Either of those will work for me, but if I had to choose I'd go with Sunday the 18th.

Hmmm...Dan's doing some mod's for me, as yet undetermined and related to the track day in SC and MOTD, and I'm going to ATL on Sunday, so I'll have to miss this one.

You guys have fun!

This may be "get the MINI back in shape" after a weekend @ VIR Full course on the 10 and 11th.

Maybe brakes and an oil change.
My shifter has a lot of play in it now. I'm not sure if I need a new shifter box or something is wearing in the cables or linkage.

I'll be there...

Sorry for being gone for a while. Let's plan on having this on Sunday if that is alright with Chris. We will establish a time later...

I will adjust the opening article with the Sunday date and time. I am interested in hearing what individuals are interested in doing....

I'm trying to push off the ATL trip so I can make this. <crosses fingers>

I'd have little things that either Dan or we will do, like side stripes, lug bolt/nut conversion, strut tower plates, OEM black grill.

I'll have Dan do my Helix brake kit, and shifter, maybe a one ball mod.

Wifey quit working for her last semester so the slush fund is being consumed quickly by things like the track day on 3/10 and MOTD--that and insurance on these two new cars! ;-)

Dave,
Actually Sunday is better for me as I wanted to go to Sandblast in Cheraw on Saturday 17th, so Sunday is great.

That sandblast looks like a real hoot. Is it bikes only, or a combination of rally vehicles and bikes?

I certainly didn't intend to hi-jack the thread.

Anyway...
I thought it was mostly cars, but I have not been before so I do not have first hand knowledge.

I believe its happening in Apex, NC.
I did my springs at one of our parties a little over a year ago, and was grateful for the extra help I got.... The driver's side strut is a pain to get out.

Come on out and we'll em in there!!

Ok I've got l've all my parts ordered, so I am ready!

Doing a full brake job, new rotors, pads, SS lines, and stiffening kit. And also an engine damper in shiny red.

If any one else wants to do the damper... they are not expensive, and will be an easy install.

I have a damper in the back of my car right now that I have not had time to instal. I will be right there with you. I guess I need to go buy a 17mm stubby wrench. Also, I have a new set of plugs to put in as well.

The date does still need to be pinned down. Have you made a decision on that Dave?

Do you have the Helix piece that just extends the existing shifter underneath? When putting mine on, I wondered if it might be able to come loose at some point and what the effects might be. I bet it would be jus tlike you describe.
