Azenis RT-615 clearance question...
This should be a quickie for the experts ... do you think I can get away with running Falken Azenis RT-615, 215/45 17 on my MCS with 1.5" drop and -2.5 camber on all four corners?
I'd really like to roll the 45's over the 40's for obvious reasons: soften the ride a bit; protect the rim from craters; keep the load rating as high as possible per corner.
Will they rub? I had Toyo T1S in the same size, pre-coilover install and had no issues. I'm hoping the aggressive camber will allow greater clearence.
TIA!

I have 215/40 17 on 17x7.5 with 1inch drop and there is some space and I was going to try 215/45 next time..
If they rub, shouldn't be too bad..
Heh, no kidding!
My suspension tuner, Tony Colicchio (http://www.tcdesignfab.com/), is considered by many to be Yoda for race cars. When asked about my driving style, I answered, "a daily driver with frequent spirited mountain drives and around 4-6 DE's a year." Based on that criteria, he set the car up as described above. As for the exact science and physics why running such aggressive camber is better, I cannot comment.
I'm really looking forward to seeing how the car connects with the fresh rubber!
