Great news for the Sunshine MINIs and the rest of us.

The click here doesn't seem to be working in your post.

Looks like it's going to be some good food and good prizes for a good cause.

I'm so excited I can't stand it. We were there, in front, last year, with the Texas "wave".

Looks good Snooter! I'm sure the Sunshine MINIs will do a great job.

Btw, how much "commission" per ticket is NAM/Mark F. charging this year?

Thanks for the compliment on our Dinner. I believe Matt already addressed your second question. The Dragon is about having a good time and Karma. So lets not go there.

I'll be bringing my little buddy for his third MOTD this year. He was purchased at MOTD3 to support the Ryen Neal Fund.

Is this where I get to complain about prices like a bunch of people did last year when I planned it? (yes, I'm joking)

Kudos to Sunshine MINIs for supporting the Ryen Neal Fund and The Children's Heart Fund! And thanks to all the folks who donated the raffle prizes...there are LOTS of goodies on that list!

Its comments like this that really make me rethink the hours, development, and planning I put into this event. To give you an idea of what the "commission" covers:

- the credit card merchant account and associated transaction fees per order
- the custom report and web-based interface I provide to the hosting party to monitor their orders (downloadable as a spreadsheet as well)
- the time and cost associated with providing refunds when people can't attend
- the time involved with integrating the event into the event calendar
- direct payment to the vendors providing the service (catering, products, etc.)

This is but one aspect of what goes into making the event happen. Keep in mind that I work on NAM full-time and a good portion of my time (this time of year) is focused on making MOTD a reality and making it as enjoyable as possible for all those attending.

I realize I can't make everyone happy but I hope that you'll give consideration to the fact that there is always a lot more that goes on behind the scenes then often meets the eye.

Mark

This will be our first MOTD and we are counting down the days until it starts. Looks like a great Welcome Dinner menu and love the prize options.

And Mark: Thanks!

This is my first time and what a great cause! I'm sure it's quite a burden to organize a dinner for 300 "friends" and you have some great raffle items. Thanks for all you do!

Mark,

Thanks for your work & dedication that keeps this site & events like MOTD going. Also, kudos to all the clubs & sponsors that do the same. I would like to know if there is a need for more volunteers for MOTD. I am a core member of the CinciMINIs & since we are not directly involved with any event, I would like to offer some of my time & the time of others in our club for volunteer work at MOTD 2007. If there is a thread already on this, I didn't look yet, but I will.

Thanks,

Greg

Mark, Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to MOTD and to NAM. None of this would be the same without you. This Year's MOTD is going to be the best yet and I can't wait!! Kudos!!

Organizin' MOTD....Thanks!

Mark, Snooter, Sunshine Minis, and all who put in their time, efforts, sweat and frustration to pull this event off...I think we all owe you "mini" thanks.
Given that we all have to work for a livin (at least most of us...) there isn't much time left for family, and stuff that just has to get done around the house.
Taking time away from that to put quality efforts into an event like this requires a little bit of "special" in everyone...and you all should be very proud of that!

This will be my first Dragon, but as it gets closer, the excitment is truly building, so....
Lets Motor!

Mark,

I think that without your dedication, this event would not be what is has grown to be!! Being one of the very first Dragon Slayers, I have seen the MOTD grow larger and better, year by year. I would like to extend my thanks for all of the long hours and hard work that you do to make this possible. I can hardly wait until May to do the MOTD over again.....
See all there...

Sam
