We can't wait for this event. This is going to be my first Dragon. Now I'm just trying to decide which MINI to bring. The Cabrio or the hardtop? Or maybe the 67 Mini. I also want to give two to my fellow SSMers for planning this Welcome Dinner.

ok for us Newbies, where is the Adventure Center in relationship to the Fontana Resort?

We're leaving the Orlando area Thursday morning and plan on making the welcome dinner.

 

The Adventure Center is just down the hill from the lodge at Fontana Village. Can't miss it.

 

Be sure to visit the NAM MOTD area. There is a Maps section where you see everything from the roads, Fontana, and the village buildings.

Has anyone been to Fontana since MOTD4? Check-in last year was at The Inn. Not the location on the map which was check-in during MOTD3 and before.

 

I don't think thats changed this year. The former check in building is no longer the administration building.

 

Yes, check in is now in the inn and is no longer in that separate building way down the hill.

They continue to improve and update the facilities and it looked great at the end of October. . .

 

Looks like the start of another Good Year on the Dragon. Things are shaping up . Thanks to Mark and the rest of his crew.

Cool, just wanted to make sure. We don't want anyone having to run all over the place looking for check-in after a long trip.

Me. I know the cabin I'm staying at. Last year the windows weren't very secure so I'll just head there and call check-in and let them know I'm here.

 

Well SB, I really hope you know what you're doing... since I'll be looking to you to tell ME what to do I'm sure the Frau and I will be a little lost our first time

I just read all the details of the dinner! Sounds like this dinner is going to be fantastic. I will definitely be buying extra raffle tickets to help raise more $$$ for the Ryen Neil fund.

Oh, and please seat me as far away as possible from koolmini. I'll still be able to hear him just fine from all the way across the adventure center!

 

First dragon, really looking forward to dinner with my buds.

Speaking as one of the event's planners (Snooter did all the hard work), I can say that I think those who attend will be pleasantly surprised, if not downright impressed, by not only the dinner, but the atmosphere of the Adventure Center by the time we're ready to open the doors.
