MINI Motoring Hearts Badge Acquisition

Through the MINI Motoring Hearts website I signed up, and have volunteered for a number of volunteer opportunities. The site indicates that one perk of volunteering is the MINI Motoring Hearts Badge. However, how do you actually acquire one? Is signing up for a volunteer opportunity through the site all that needs be done, or is there something that must be done in addition? An inquiring mind wants to know!

You might check with your nearest MINI dealership. They should know about the Motoring Hearts program. You can get a form and describe your community volunteering and submit it to them.

MINIUSA has sent dealerships the badges in the past.

Keep up the good work and community service.

Does anyone know if there is a minimum amount of volunteer hours needed to get a badge? I know all volunteering is good, but I was just curious. Already signed up for a couple things off the motoring hearts website, can't wait to start!! Have a good day!

We did our volunteer work just before Christmas. The Motoring Heart Badge arrived at our home in February (looks ....some kind of nice pewter silver metal). Stuck it (it comes with a serious looking sticky backing) on our rear glass rather than the paint. Sweet badge and proud to help our community!

MINI sells a badge holder to fit the MINI Motoring Heart Badge, or one of the aftermarket ones will work. It's a great program I encourage others to sign-up.

This part will become more difficult to obtain as MINI is no longer producing any more of these badges and hasn't for some time now. Dealers can no longer order them.
If anyone is interested, I have two up for sale in the marketplace listing.
I just hope they don't do away with the program.
Just fyi, my dealer hand distributed the badges immediately after the event.

Since there had been rumor of MINI discontinuing this program, I wanted to let everyone know that I signed up for volunteering in early November of 2009 and I received my badge today, late January 2010. I did not receive any correspondence about volunteering form MINI except for a reminder that I had signed up to volunteer. I had been volunteering so I wasnt sure if there was communication between MINI and the group I was volunteering with. I guess the group and MINI finally communicated?!?

I dont want to actually mount it on the car. Has anyone had any luck applying the badge to a magnet and then putting it on their car?

I've read in other threads that people have put magnets on the back of the metal badges and they've worked just perfectly. I wish I would have been clever enough to think of that before I stuck my Carfun badge right onto the holder!
