Louder When Faster

Does the stereo get louder the faster you go, its not extremly noticable but drives me nuts. I have a past of imagining things like this. And if it isnt my imagination can I get the dealer to reprogram it or something

Yes, the dealer can fix this for your or there should be instructions in your MINI manual if you want to do it yourself.

I have the same thing and you can adjust how much the volume increases. It is in your MINI Owners Manual. Took me a couple of trys but I increased mine as I usually have the sunroof open when its not raining.

I remember reading that with the basic/standard sound system you can adjust this yourself. Check your owner's manual. However, you can't adjust this yourself on the HK system.

No dealer trip is necessary - You can change this, here's how:

1. Turn Radio Off.
2. Turn Radio On.
3. Press and hold the "m" button for about 10 seconds.
4. Press < or > to navigate and + or - to change settings. May also need to press certain Preset buttons to change settings as well.
5. When you see GAL, this is your volume in motion settings in a range of CD1 for minimum and CD6 for maximum. Press the CD number you wish to use.
6. Turn radio off to exit.
