um okay. how did you manage to break a motor mount? Did you have it replaced at a dealership through warranty or did you fix it yourself?

I can say from experience that if you're gonna bust a motor mount, it'll likely happen in Queens! The roads often look like the surface of the moon.

I think it also has something to do with driving style. I live in NJ and frequently drive the worst roads around the tri-state (X-Bronx anyone) on 17's with runflats and I haven't damaged a strut tower/motor mount yet.

I'd recommend the Shoe engine damper though if you have already had one failure and maybe strut tower braces from M7 instead of bling bling grills.

You know, I complain about living in Ohio because it's boring, but then I read threads like this and I remember WHY I moved away from the East Coast in the first place... I always used to get so frustrated that it was so damned expensive to live there and yet they lacked the ability to do something as simple as keep the roads repaired.

I dont think is just on the east coast, here in IL you find some really bad roads, it happens everywhere,............ i think all these people in local/state govenments take all those taxes and spend it on other things that are not as important or pocket that themselves

it was a pothole on the expressway, what was annoying was that i had just gotten the car back after they fixed the stress crack that comes about in the middle of the windshield

thats probably a bit true to, i do play hide and seek with potholes but usually in NY traffic i have no room to swerve around them

i already purchased the damper and im waitin to get it installed, and i like the idea of my bling bling grills

maybe all the state governments are conspriring together
or theyre just run by the same stupid people and i think that NY worths the expense, specially when i live with my parents

yea and then they regret it when they mess up their hundred thousand dollar bmws
and if you want bad sinkholes you have to go on the roads right next to the NY DMV in College Point, its built on swamp and its absolutely horrible! I couldnt go more then ten miles an hour :impatient

not when the traffic ten inches away from me is moving next to me at sixty mph or when the concrete divider to my right isnt in the mood to move

True. I guess I have learnt my routes with regards to potholes so I'll make a lane change and sit a little in traffic if I have to to avoid a hit as I've generally got time to kill.

No kidding, the expressways in NYC are like nothing else in the US. Two tiny lanes, no shoulders, concrete barriers on both sides, and stripped broken down cars often occupying one lane. Not to mention the overall lack of maintenance..
