Blitzsafe & XM Radio

Picked up a used unit and installed it today.
The Mini 2006 with H/K radio it sees the unit but I can only get channel
0, 1, 174, 247....even after activating the unit with XM...
Also I have no volume....(No sound)
Any thoughts

Update...after I refreshed the XM activation I'm getting all the XM channels. Still no volume..Just a hum...
And that is when I turn the volume all the way up

Not sure about the volume (other than checking the connections (there are 3 cables between the blitzsafe and the xmdirect unit.

For the missing stations"
Leave the radio on and outside.
Get the radio id
go to www.xmradio.com and there is a link to refresh the unit.

The Blitzsafe has two RCA connectors and one round DIN connector that plug into the XM Direct. There are two rectangular connectors in the Mini tat need to plug into the Blitzsafe. Try disconnecting and reconnecting. If that doesn't work then you may have a problem with either the Blitzsafe or the XM Direct Unit.

Did you get the instructions with the Blitzsafe?

There are TWO wires in the mini that plug into the one blitzafe plug-in.

Even with the directions was not easy....

I can try and find the instructions if you don't have them...

jody, your Blitzsafe has a lifetime warranty.

XM install thread...

I can't for the life of me can't understand what the cause of your problem is. It could be the XM direct & not the Blitzsafe that's the problem. Sorry I know that doesn't help you.

If you want to determine which is bad, XM Direct or Blitzsafe, you can disconnect the RCA plugs from the XM Direct and either plug them into another source such as an MP3 player with a stero 1/8" mini plug to RCA adapter (you should be able to find something like this at Radio Shack). Just leave all the other cables plugged in. If the Blitzsafe is working properly, you should hear what the MP3 player over the Mini stereo and there is a problem with the XM Direct Module. If you get no sound, then the problem is most likely with the Blitzsafe.

You can also hook a boom box or computer speakers to the XM module to be certain...
