iPod connection on 2002 with CD changer

I have a 2002 MC with factory CD changer. Can I use the CD changer output slot as my aux? I wanted to check here before I pull the radio out. My car has a pre 9/02 build date but since I have a CD changer does that mean I have a new generation radio?

I know I can use the blitzsafe device but rather just go with the aux because I don't want to mess with removing interior to wire the thing back to the front.

not sure how it is on an '02, but on my '04 standard HU no nav no HK the CD changer I installed myself by connecting it up to the pre-wired plugs in the boot and then installed myself the Aux input into the open recepticle on the back of the HU without having to remove the HU... so I have the changer and an aux input

No interior needs to be removed with the DICE kit, you can tuck the trunk cable underneath existing panels. This is the kit you need:

DICE iPod Integration Kit for Mini Cooper
http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...roducts_id=314

The DICE iPod Kit will integrate perfectly with your MINI and offer steering wheel control and charging of your iPod. Full CD Quality can be expected after installation.

The kit will come with everything needed w/ the docking cable. The iPod can be safely stored away in the glove compartment for 100% stealth installation and accessed completely from the steering wheel controls if equipped.

The DICE comes with a 15-foot cable length to reach anywhere in the vehicle you like.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

The website doesn't say this would work with on 2002 MC. This is the same as the blitzsafe device and I would still have to route the wire back to the front.

The DICE is compatible on MY02 also. Yes, it requires that the cable is run for the trunk, a radio-interface harness will be released in a couple of weeks.
