They'll fit if they measure no more than (not then), no more than 2'' x 7'' x 7''.
You should consider building a trailer for your reference amps. You might be able to fit a snorkel to allow them to breathe.
And yes, it would seem like a slight overkill!

But seriously folks, check out the custom sound installation on page three of the Modified MINIs Gallery.

Not my car, but an amp will fit under the seats.

>>I went and looked at the MINI yesterday. There's no way I can fit my bigger amp in the car...period. It's just too big. I guess I'll have to find a deck with a decent amp that has a crossover built in. Damn...The interior is just too small (for audiophiles at least).

Are you sure that it's audiophiles that put chest vibrating, ear crushing sound thingies in their autos?
I suppose you could listen to a decent sound system if you stopped somewhere in the middle of a silent forest, but definitely not while the engine is running. Ron.

I've always wanted to mount an amp on the roof (inside the car at the rear). There is a gap between the liner and the outer panel which should be enough to feed the wires under and down through the door/windscreen struts at the front and the side window/boot window strut in the back.
I just wonder if the liner is strong enough to take the weight.

I've got a SoundStream Ref 705s, just pulled it from my truck last night and though it definitely won't fit well under the seats it does fit PERFECTLY in the boot! I'm taking it in today to my installer to see about having it mounted directly to the deck above the battery cover and have some kind of shelf built over it so as to hide and protect it. Should work perfectly and not be noticable, as the top of the amp is just below the level of where the rear seats are.... Not sure about sub placement though....[LIST]
