Rear Bumper Replacement?

Not sure if this belongs here or the Marketplace. Regardless, I had a 'fender bender'...self inflicted... . I backed into a palm tree! Acutally, I find it kind of funny.

I suppose I don't feel as bad because Jake did so well. I mean...the bumper kind of compressed (only in that spot) and bounced back out again! It looks more like a small scrape except where the fiberglass was 'smushed' there is now kind of a flat spot.

I think eventually I should replace it but am wondering if it would be better to pick up the part now vs later. OK....I'm rambling now. Need input, obviously. :impatient

Jake is a CR, MCS, '06. Only had him about 2.5 months!

Well now I don't feel as bad. It was so weird. It was a curved driveway, I was going slowly but that fricken palm tree 'hid' in my blind spot the whole way.

How's your damage? Got the 'smush' thing, too? What's odd on mine is there's only a wee tiny scratch in the paint. It 'bent' with the bumper!
