One year of ownership today!

It's been a year ago today that I picked up my MCS at MOTW. Ordered Helmut in August with factory JCW and then after the third delay in startup, dropped that package in late September. Kept the Royal Grey/royal grey, LSD, Sportpack, multifunction wheel, HK, rear fog, and auto AC. Dumped the runflats/Slites as soon as I got home for some Flik Wasps with Toyo T1R's. Now have 22623 miles, burned up the Toyo's around 20K and am currently (and somewhat reluctantly) running the Slites. Only two issues aside from the normal first maintenance visit: had the service bulletin performed to stop the moaning LSD, and my first OEM windshield was replaced due to a stress crack. Have since replaced the windshield TWICE more! Have switched to PPG glass which is thicker, but I think the MINI's upright windshield just makes it more prone to damage. Other than that, I'm still happy with the car as the day I picked it up. I must admit it's only been driven 3-4 times in the last 3 weeks since its big brother arrived, but it's not going anywhere. Like most of us, I've had some great memories in it, most notable the bike trips I took in it last spring, and teaching a couple of youngins' the art of driving manual transmission. Can't wait to burn off the crappy runflats so I can justify some new shoes again.

Hey congrats. Make sure you do something nice for the birthday Cooper, I know they always like a good bath and some vacuuming under the hood and between the seats.

And no matter how much they ask, no cake in the intake.
