woo busy week for my mini
Wow.. my cars been busy this week
When i started my car had a 4 channel x 35watts amplifier running front stage on 2 channels, and a 12" sub on the 3/4th. Weak at best.
1- remove front seats and my rear seat delete.
2- complete the B-Quiet (dynamat) install under rear seat/rear hatch floor
3- remove crappy 4 channel pioneer amp
4- run a 3rd rca from deck to under driver seat
5- repair 4 channel fuzion 75x4 amp -
6- wire front and rear component sets to the 4channel Fuzion
7- install new 400w mono amp under driver seat
8- wire 12" sub to the mono amp
9- install splitter between headunit and antenna
10- install new CB under the glove box, mounted to air filter cover
11- hook cb up to the antenna splitter
12- run new power to everything
13- reinstall front and rear seats
14- clean car, and work on making myself deaf

i used a product called B-quiet extreme. Essentially a direct competitor to Dynamat. Apparently only about 80% as effective, however it is MUCH MUCH less expensive.
I removed the rear seat and carpet in the boot.
I cut pieces out for either side of the battery tray, as well as all covering the entire section below the seat. I made sure to cut the stuff in proper shapes as to allow access to the fuel pump and whatever else is hidden under the black circles. Essentially, i covered everything from the underside of the seat to the back and left access to all screws and panels which may need removal later
exhaust drone is down quite a bit, and the sound 'punch' of the sub woofers is MUCH better.

very happy customer
I will be ordering another large box to do the entire floor pan and inside firewall of the beetle I am restoring.
essentially, everything under the carpet area, the red area under rear seat, and circular pieces ontop of the black circles under rear seat are all covered.

I've used "Peal and Seal" which is even cheaper. It's a roofing material that has a reflective side. I've actually done this on my old Maxima and my large screen TV (the 3 subwoofers were making the cabinet rattle like crazy).
All you need is a pair of good pair of scissors, afta (for cleaning the goo out of the scissors), a heat gun, and gloves (that was after I burned myself a few times).
Peal and Seal can be found at Lowes or Home Depot and it comes in a 6" roll (I guess about 20 feet) for like $12. I did my whole trunk in the maxima for like $40. It really made an impact on the sound.
