R50/53 Who here has changed to a 15% pulley and
No driveability issues whatsoever.
The engine just spools up faster, and the car goes faster. But the best part is the sound, the glorious supercharger whine. no regrets.

This is an old topic, but I am always still happy to chime in. Yes the 15% is great! The only word of advice is to keep an eye on your belt, since with the 15% you will probably want to replace it a little sooner than recommended. 20k instead I think 36k. Not a big deal. Belts only cost $20, well the gatoback does.
David, not stupid at all.
They are referring to the supercharger pully. One of the easiest upgrades is to replace the stock one with an undersized one. 15% refers to the amout it is undersized. Also available in 16%, 17% and 19%, although the latter require other upgrades as well
Undersizing allows the SC to spool up faster and provide more oomph.

For you newbies, there are probably thousands of MCS's around the US that are running a 15% s/c reduction pulley with no problems.
It adds around 10-18 hp, and typically costs around $300-$400 to get it professionally installed. It's probably the best bang for your buck mod there is.

Well said
!
And as far as the warranty issue goes, I know my dealer doesn't have a problem with the 15% provided I don't try to get my SC replaced under warranty.

Thanks, everyone...for the helpful replies. It saved me from having to wade through many many posts that would not directly answer my questions...had I only used the "search" function.
