HELP! JCW Intake question

Well, I'm about 80% of the way though my JCW intake install and I have some problems. I need URGENT help.

1) Where do you hook up the vacuum connection?! I looked and looked and can't find any vacuum hoses that are the right size.

2) When I found the vacuum hose I though the intake connection should be connected to I pulled (very forcefully) off the connection between a thick rubber hose that attaches to the throttle body and a skinnier plastic(ish) hose that looks like it goes to the intake manifold but i'm not sure. Anyways, once I realized that hose doesn't fit on the intake vacuum connection at all I tried to put it back together and I can't get the connector back into the plastic(ish) hose, it just won't go in then pops back out. Any ideas how to get that back in there?

Crisis adverted.

I found the place to connect the vacuum and it got all together.

My friend and I got that fitting back in the plastic(ish) hose which runs under the intercooler and comes out at what looks like a fuel pump or something, I dunno. Anyways, we used a hammer and a cup of hot water and got the fitting back in there enough that I doubt it'll ever come back out. Any ideas how to get it all the way back in would definitely be helpful though.
