Well now that I'am back from the UK I thought I would chime in. I'll be happy to bring anything you guys want. I'll also be sharing all my stories from the UK race and maybe some of the pics. We should also have one of the M62 cars avail for rides. Hope to see you there.

WAY

Yeah man I want to see that clean install on the M62. I'll admit mine is a lil ragged and still in the development stages.

Sounds good. The car should be making 400 by then. Still on pump gas right now.

Hmmm...if the Zaino clinic doesn't go off as planned, you may have a few more of us showing up!

Okay, Zaino's off so I'm thinking of heading down. I'll be on FRS channel 7, no sub channel.

(The Tar Heel guys are trying to get me 2.5 hrs the other direction to a lunch meet in Apex, so you're winning by an hour round trip. ;-) )

Dave, (the Miata guy?), I think I eavesdropped on your conversations at the annual meeting at D&Bs and you had some cool things in the works. Although I don't know jack about performance, ;-) you guys sure do and it'll be fun to hear how you're progressing.

Call me tonight if you're in Charlotte and want to detail your MINI Saturday. It won't be indoors but I can share my supplies...

Thanks for the offer, PM sent--have to run some errands, then heading South!

Thanks guys! Had a great time. Can't wait to hear how Tom likes his mods.

Waylen put an H-sport comp rear sway bar on my car--did some donuts, hit some twisties on the way home and what a difference, even on my stocker, with run flats!

For those of you who know to ask, (I didn't until today), it's on the middle setting.

P.S. The reason I can get away with it, when the wifey said, "No mod's till it's yours."? She won't notice a 5 lb 25mm black sway bar tucked between the rear shocks, of course!

Many thanks to Dave (DDMWorks, our host) and Way, as well as the other MINI owners who showed up yesterday. It was great to see MINI mods and discuss them with people who really understand what makes MINIs work, and work fast.

I was impressed by the MINI work DDMWorks is doing (as well as its Miata work) and thought Way did a great job on the cars he was modding. I'd not hesitate to recommend them to others. I'd also recommend attending this type of event to anyone who is interested in modifications, or just wants to know what makes his or her MINI tick.

And thanks for the photos, MidnightDave!

Lee J.
