Sorry, I never knew you could get a MINI-S with all of the packages, Naviagation etc... in 2004 for 21K. Boy if I knew that I would have bought several and dearly wish I did not wait till this year to get a Cooper, no S and no Nav for 23K.
I would say anywhere from 19-21k is a fair price. I could be wrong....but I didn't think you could buy a new MINI in 04' for 21k. Anyway, I payed $17k for mine, bone stock 03' MCS with 47k miles on it, loaded minus NAV and HK. So....I would say $19-21k would be a very fair price.

thanks for the comments
i will gladly pay $21k. . . anyone selling in sf bay area?
i offered $22.9k, the seller countered $23.5k. . . the seller originally wanted $26.5k. . . i know we're only $600 apart. . .scheduled a ppi with dealer in a week and we'll see. . .from your comments, i'm thinking my offer maybe too high. . .
all the mods were done at the bulletmotorsports in southern cali.
any comments on the manufacturer's warranty and the ecu flash? is mountain view mini mod friendly dealer? let's hear it guys, especially from the peninsula owners in the bay area. thx.

I don't understand why people must always jump in with mods are worthless when selling a car. Nothing is worthless to everyone always, somethings are worthwhile to some people sometimes.
If you feel happy with the deal then go for it. If you like the idea of the mods then go for it. Just build one now with all the packages and then add the price of getting the mods and see if you are still interested. If so then go for it, otherwise there will be another MINI waiting for you.

That is completely your opinion. They may be of great value to ALS. ALS may decide on these types of mods and instead of shelling out to get them he gets a car with them already.

You're missing the point. After-market parts add no financial value to the car. They may add emotional value, but they do not increase the private party sale value.
See, the thing here is, when buying a used car, you typically want to pay less for it...as opposed to more.
correct....paid msrp on my '04 MCS when new - only options were metallic paint, premium, sport pkgs .... $22.9k
I agree that you want to pay less but people out there will spend a little more to get what they want. Lets be honest that buying a car, especially a MINI, is an emotional purchase
it just depends on how much you let it get a hold of you.

appreciate all of your comments
thanks guys . . . receipts for mini madness stage 2 kit plus wheels/tires package show approximately $8k (parts and labor). . . all was installed approximately at 3k miles. . .it has a little less than 10k now. . .ppi will verify the installed parts . . .just hoping for positive news about the warranty.
