Might be a two MINI family

My older brother is considering a Cooper S . But his first choice is a Honda S2000. But if he can't get a good deal, then he's most likely gonna get a MINI.

So, I told him that if he wants to place an order, he better do it ASAP. He told me he's gonna look for a S2000 in the coming weeks. But I told him he's pushin' it and better make up is mind quickly. Are dealers still taking orders? Worse comes to worse, he's willing to take one from dealer stock. I was checking the inventories at a couple of dealership's website and they all pretty come with all the options he wants. So I guess that's a good thing.

Dealers are still taking orders. I ordered mine this Saturday.

I also was considering an S2k along with some other cars like an Evo. Test drove the evo thought it was OK. It was fast with massive body roll ,bad clutch feel, way too touchy brakes with no modulation, and an idoit salesman. Scratch that one off the list.

Next car was the s2k. I have been in in some. Car does bad in winter, no storage space, decent gas mileage, honda, somethings got on my nerves about it, and not too expensive.

Last car Mini S. Clear winner. I have a fantastic sales person at Dreyer and Reinbold named Rhonda Glenn. The car was pretty quick, handled well, I love the driving position, feel of the car overall was fantastic, I just don't have anything bad to say about the car.

I hope your brother makes the right choice.

S2000s are incredible. I'd love to have one if I had the money and didn't need more space.

Cool, then maybe my brother has some hope if he decides on the MINI. Where are you located. I'm wondering if the ordering deadline is different in other parts of the country.

It's funny you should mentioned the S2000 and the Evo. He owned them both (not at once though). He owned a 2001 S2000, then traded in for a 2003 Evo.

I had an S2000 before I got the MINI Cabrio. If MINI hadn't come out with the Cabrio, I'd still be driving the S2000. Love them both - for different reasons - they are apples and oranges - but both a blast...

I'm ordering a MCS with JCW this week. My dealer, Keeler motors in NY has 13 or 14 slots left before the switchover occurs.

I wish I could order another MCS before the switchover... I guess it'll be cool to have a "classic" new MINI and a "new" new MINI, lol.
