No, spiked tires are against the law here. Unless I decide to do some ice racing. Then they are a must. But that would definately wreck my car. The ice racers spend so much time sideways, they roll a lot!
Buy an extra set from Tirerack.com... I ordered 15" ATA's with Blizzak REVO 1's mounted and balanced. Then, if you don't have a 3 ton capacity car jack, grab one from Sears and you can change out all four in about 30 to 40 minutes. You'll be plowing through the snow. :-)

I'm with you Dave. I kept my stock rims (that have crap All Seasons on them...worked OK with the fairly mild winter we had last year), and will be putting something snow-specific on soon. I'm just in denial though...it was freakin' 72 degrees here today!
Are MINIs good in the snow? I know that there are rally MINIs but I intend on driving my MINI through our harsh Detroit winter. Do people have experience with alot of winter driving?
Yep, that's coming our way...I am NOT ready for winter...Dobby on the other hand LOVES to play in the snow. He hates it when the salt trucks and plows take all his funa way...
