Rupert Grint: MINI Owner

I was reading the Parade section of the paper this morning and saw an interview with Rupert Grint in which he says he's got a MINI Cooper (but failed his driving test, so thus no license). Pretty cool that a Weasley boy's got a MINI.

p.s.- unfortunately the on-line version of the article doesn't come out til Tues. so you'll have to read the paper to see it.

That's cool and hilarious at the same time. Add him to the celebrities list who own Mini's. There's a thread about that somewhere.

He also said when he got his license, he might buy an American car. A "hot rod" or a truck. Someone slap some sense into that kid!

Hopefully Mr. Weasley can put a spell on the MINI so it can fly too.

Rupert who? Weasley who? On some things, I'm seriously out of touch.

OK, I don't get it. Some no name actor who had a secondary role in some films gets a MINI.

SO what happens when some movie star buys say a Pontiac Aztec? Aztec fans shout WOOT!

Just kidding.

Rupert Grint plays Ron Weasley in all of the Harry Potter movies. Hes not a no name actor to those who are into Harry Potter, and his role is one of three starring roles. Anyway i think its funny, cause i can picture him taking a hard turn and saying "Bloody Hell"

A muggle would never get close!

Seriously, though...I've always thought it fantastic that the Brits love MINIs as they do, especially the young folks!!

Well of COURSE we love MINIs... I mean it's practically the National car, especially to the outside World's eyes

I for one could not live in this country if I couldn't have my MINI by my side... It's my piece of home to travel around in, and my way of being patriotic without blatently displaying it

Can Rupert himself drive yet? “Well, it turns out,” he told me in his richly-accented Hertfordshire English, “I failed me driving test two weeks ago, so they told me to take some more lessons and try again. I own a car already, a Mini Cooper. But I’m thinking about buying an American car when I get the license. One of those hot rods or maybe a Chevy pickup.”
