New NAM member with mods looking for more!
Hi Everyone, Well this is my first thread ( well officially second, my first is in the 1st gear section), I'm familiar with auto forums as I just sold my 02 Nissan Maxima SE and was a member of the maxima.org:

to buy this little beauty (more pics in my gallery):

As you can see it has a fair number of mods already on it, so that saved me a few dollars as I did all the mods on my Maxima, but there are a few more things I'd like to add so I was wondering if this Newbie could get a little help?
1) I'm interested in getting a pair of Driving lights so I was wondering if anyone had bought these particular one's also any mounting issues?

2) Also on ebay has anyone gone with this strut bar? Impressions?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT
3) and this arm rest? Does it interfere with the ebrake at all?
I'm looking for one that has some storage features.

4) How about bonnet stripes:

I noticed one of the NAM vendors sells magnetic anyone have those?
Thanks in advance
I'm looking forward to getting to know you

the coolest looking "driving lights" available in my opinion.
welcome to the forum.

You can't beat that price on the lights, but I like brighter ones. Also, you'll probably have to pay extra for the mounting brackets to fit a MINI.
You can find domestic manufacturers of bonnet stripes all over ebay and the Internet. I got mine from outmotoring.com. I like them because they are a bit wider than the stock stripes. I don't know anyone who has the magnetic ones, but the vinyl are really easy to apply and look great.
Nice looking MINI!

There is a very famous saying, you get what you pay for. For driving lights, I would check out Hellas, IPF (ALTA kit, www.altaminiperformance.com), and Piaa.
Strut Bar - Look into the M7 one. As far as I know, this is the best on the market, but I could be wrong. Also, I've been advised to stay away from hinged ones. (www.m7tuning.com)
Bonnet stripes - look no further than Aesthetic Creations. (www.aestheticreations.net)

Thanks, noticed you have a Dinan, my MCS also had a Dinan but the previous owner took it off and sold it! Interesting you would recommend the M7 and not the Dinan????
Trending Topics
the dinan is a good choicre too. When i bought the dinan brace at the monterey historics races this year, both dinan and m7 were there selling their goods. The m7 i was told would push the hood up a little in the back. Dinans rep said theirs was designed as to not do that, so when i got home and installed it, it did push up the rear of the hood a bit. Its not that noticable and it works as it should, i just didnt like they told me what i wanted o hear to make a sale. If i knew i would have bought the m7, it was cheaper and also helps protect against mushrooming.
Stay with Hella or Cibie for driving lights. There is a BIG difference in fog lights (as referenced in the eBay link) and driving lights. The lights in the eBay listing are NOT xenon lights. If you want the real thing, Hella makes an FF200 Xenon. They're definately hardcore.

Personally, I'd go with black driving lights over chrome, to echo your dark accents, but that may just be me. Hella makes a NICE set of lights (I run the Optilux series, which have gloss black shells) and I love 'em, but Hella makwes several different kinds of lights with chrome and black shells.
I'd definitely go for bonnet and maybe even boot stripes... Any more, a MINI looks half-dressed without them IMHO. I like Aesthetic Creations' stripes personally and would recommend them to anyone.

Just post a picture in that thread, introduce yourself, and then get a badge if you want one! I went to the site (www.thompsonsmithdesign.com) who used to have the owners club badges...but I can't find them on there. If you want the badge in your signature, just find someone with one, and save it then upload it.
