Slotted Rotor experiences please

If one were to make a decision on a slotted rotor, which would offer the most performance on the street and track. The choices I've found are: (front price only)

Brembo Sport slotted rotor - 245$

Frozen slotted rotor - 238$

Powerslot - 176$

What I'm really looking for (once I finally determine whether or not the 11.75 kit fits on my slipstreams and holeys) is the best stock sized rotor that is usable on the street but will shine at the track. I know there are a ton of cars at the track that don't have/need large wheels to fit over their brakes, so what are they using?

I'll not be likely to spend 1000$ just on rotors if the benefit won't be close to what I'd experience for the 1000$ 11.75 kit. But the kit might require spacers, or worse, new wheels. I've been back and forth on this decision 11,000 times, but that's what makes fun!

Any experience on the track with the above options is greatly appreciated. I've already heard all of the praise for the wilwood 11.75 kit, so no need to reiterate it's apparent brilliance.

Todd and Cliff - you both sell the 11.75 kit - is there a difference between your offerings?

Rotors

Rotors are the lowest on the totem pole as far as performance gains on the brake system. There is only som much a hunk of metal can do other than the internal vane structure to flow more air.

If the rotors are not at minimum thickness spend the money on pads. And have two sets of pads. Street and track. DO NOT TRY and get by in both worlds on the same pads.

I know alot of people running the Powerslots and like them. Check out ebay. They have a front brembo setup with powerslot rears for $200 shipped. That's what I was gonna do before I went with a full Stoptech setup.

Before I went StopTech, I was using the Brembo Sport Slotted (from Tire Rack) in front and StopTech slotted rears. Also had the Turner Motorsport caliper bushing kit and S/S brake hoses. Worked fine for daily driving. Never used this set-up on track, but did experience some fade during some "spirited Motoring". (EBC Green pads)

I have frozen Powerslot rotors front and back and use them for street, track and autocross with no problems.

They are more durable (maybe three times more) than the non treated standard Powerslot rotors (which can wear out in one track day).

For street and autocross the frozen powerslots are fine and more than capable. If you have lots of track time planned then a big brake kit is a solid option. If track time is limited then the frozen powerslots would be fine.

Be sure to check out all the MINI options for brakes at TCE (todd).

I've done this a lot. Every time I run into the same chart that is supposed to tell me if the fronts are going to fit under my x-lites, 15 inch slipstreams, and holies. Every time I slap myself in the forehead and think about why the sizing chart makes me feel like a complete moron.

Cliff from coasttocoast invited me to come see if my wheels fit over his 11.75 kit. If they do, then I'll seriously consider that kit. I'd love the 12.2 (I think that's the number) more streetable kit, but there's no way that'll fit, right?

As far as track time - I'd say 5-10 per year is what I'm going for starting next year. (no autocross).

Todd (tce) was gonna help me decipher the wheeel chart to fit my Stoptech's but I'm gonna just pre-fit them and see where I stand. And if your wheels don't fit the BBK...get larger rims!
