m7 AGS, worth the money or just hype...
hi yall, probably this subject has been threaded however i read most of the thread posted but couldn't find what i was really looking for so i thought i would start another with my concern.... please bare with me if this subject has been touched
.
i am thinking of getting the m7 AGS, is it good like it says? i know it cost alot of money so i am concerned if the money will be well spent. m7 seems to be very reputable but i would like some feedback on the guys who have this system on their car.
is there a significant difference from regular CAI vs. AGS?
if so, in what ways? i know the AGS will not pass smog since it will be installed before the throttle body...my concern is, does it effect the life of the engine?
please help me to make the correct decision.... desperately seeking honest experienced counseling.

As an early adopter (I have had several versions up to the latest v3) I think it is well worth it. The throttle response was a big increase over the Alta I had in there before. even the high pitch whine quited down to that of a nice jet fighter...
be aware the install is not for the faint of heart. there is a lot of work involved. It can be done just fine provided you don't mind getting dirty. My first time took about 3 hours. I can probbly do it now in about an hour and a half.
I didn't realize it would not pass smog check. unless I am missing something you are not changing anythat goes before the throttle body that would make a difference in that other than increase the air flow? Maybe I'm wrong... maybe the afternoon beer has got to my head.
Anyway have fun and enjoy it! the guys at m7 are fantastic to work with, some of the best there are!
