RainX for shower doors?

Anyone ever try RainX on seamless glass showers? Was wondering if it would keep them looking better and reduce the maintenance. Or would it make things worse?

(sorry if too off-topic)

I have done it. It does seem to help some, but it's not like you don;t have to clean them any more.

My dad used to do this on his fiberglass shower. It wears off fairly quickly with the soaps, shampoos, cleaners, etc. I think he did it every 3 months or so. It cut the cleaning frequency for soap scum, etc in half.

^^ +1 doens't last. you're better off keeping the soap scum off of it
completely and using a cal blade (not that i use one) to remove all water
before you step out.

problem with keeping these tools in the shower is that they tend to
mold easily unless you crank the A/C in there all the time to dry it.

I think I'll try it. sounds like "low risk" adventure. I was just trying to be sure someone didn't have a disasterous experience or anything.

p.s. >>> home depo has an 8" clear all-plastic squeegee that stays in the shower and stays "presentable" for the long term. about $5.

For $5, buy a handful and throw it away after a year...
