Goodyear F1 GS-D3 215 45 17?

I am interested in the Goodyear F1 GS-D3 after all the reviews and individual opinions I have seen and heard, but am concerned about running 215 45 17 on my set-up. To date, my street tires have been Toyos in 205 45 17. My '03 MCS is set-up with H-Sport springs, H-Sport Comp rear sway bar, adj lower control arms, and camber plates up front. Camber is neg. 1.7 front, neg. 1.3 rear. Street wheels are Flik Wasp 17x7, 42 offset.

I am seeking opinions on whether I might experience any rubbing issues.

Toyo's have a more square profile than the F1's so the 205 in Toyo should be close to the 215 in F1s.

Hope you enjoy them, they are amazing

I have that exact tire in that exact size on my MCSC. I have no rubbing at all but.....
IMHO the tire is too high profile for my Mini. If I had it to do over again I would definitely go with 215/40/17

Not many are letting you know about their suspension config though. I have them and LOVE them. Awesome wet or dry. Stock suspension though, mounted on 17 x 7.5 Kosei's with 45mm offset...

Doesn't come in that size last time I checked.

And to the very good question about susp setups. I run c/o's DUMPED, and had no rubbing issues.

Check again. Tire Rack offers them in 215/40/17.

If I remember correctly the 1st time I checked I couldn't find them because I used the tire size search menu & they weren't there. If you look on the tire model page that size is there. I wish I had bought the 40's oh well maybe in 20 or so thousand miles when my 45's wear out I will

I run them on my S-Lites and have had very minor rubbing issues on the plastic trim, but not affecting the tires; however my car is slammed with H&R coilovers. Unless you're lower than I am, there is nothing to worry about.

I have these tires on both of my Mini's and have had no problems. One of my cars have the H-Sport springs so that is about an inch lower than stock.

i'm also planning to run GSD3's in 215/45R17 but don't know if it will not rub because i'm gonna be buying 17x7.5 +45 wheels and i'm lowered on Eibachs but everything else in the suspension is stock. anyone?

sorry to resurrect an old thread
