Who has the softest riding springs?

I have always lowered every car I have owned and I want to do the same to my 04 MCS. I drive alot and want about a 1"drop but I want the ride to be soft. It seems like the car rides ruff already. I'm hoping getting rid of the runflats will help soften the ride.
thanks
Mario

the M7 might be softest. They're progressive, innitially softer than stock, then they ramp up quickly near the end of the travel. I had them on my car and liked them fine but recently changed to Koni coil-overs to get adjustable shocks...

Tires will make a big difference. Try for 55 series tires if you have 15" or 16" rims and 45 series tires for 17" rims.

M7 springs probably your best bet for 1" lower and good for street use.

Koni FSD is smooth riding but I don't think you get 1" drop since these are shocks. Maybe combine M7 springs with FSD shocks.

Another possible upgrade would be Bilstein PSS9 coil overs.
Set the dampening to softest on all four corners and drop as much or as little as you want, one inch is fine.

16" rims with 225x50x16 GY D3's tires give a great ride.....stock springs & FSD's

Thank you guys, the other reason I need soft springs is because I'm going to 215-35-19 tires and wheels, so I know the ride is going to stiffen up a bit. Since the car only has 9k miles I would like to keep my stock shocks for a bit and just get springs. What do you think of springs only?

M7 springs + stock shocks = 20,000 miles with no problems.

Softer initial ride, but nice and stiff once you bend it in the corner

I've go to tell you that the biggest difference I ever felt was when I changed the tires. I have Koni FSD's with H-sport springs and I was riding Yokohama parada sports in a 215/35/18. The ride was very hard and every time I hit even a small pothole I felt that the shock was going to mushroom the tower. Then I changed to Michilen Pilot sport 2's in a 205/40/18 and the ride was like night and day! I truly can't describe how much better it became!

Do the m7 Springs allow more roll at all? Especially under light cornering loads?

Wow! you got me a little nervous now about my tire seletions. I'm surprised that 6.75mm taller in profile made that much difference or do you think it was more the tire brand?

Less roll than stock springs with my 22mm Alta rear sway bar set to softest, it feels like ZERO roll, but I know that is impossible.

Do you think I will be able to switch my order from 215-35-19 to 215-40-19 tires. Do you think the 40 series will be a problem if I lower with M7?

Do you mean that there is less roll with m7 springs and stock swaybar than there is with stock springs and 22mm rear swaybar?

I had the sway bar first, then the M7 springs.

The sway bar reduced the body roll quite a bit from stock.

Then adding M7 springs reduced the body roll even more.

I have installed dozens of H-Sport springs with 0 complaints. They are also progressive raet and will drop about an inch. I also have a slightly used set for sale. I will take $165 + shipping if your interested, I have not posted them in the marketplace yet.

Mario, be sure that the 215/40/19's will fit - they are pretty large tires, and I'm not sure about fitment on the MINI. I'm not saying they won't fit, just suggesting that you doublecheck before going down that path. Here's a tire size comparison tool that might help: http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecal...?action=submit
