Do you miss your MINI when you go out of town?
This is really bad. I am leaving for a week-long trip and am thinking about how much I will miss my MINI!
I have been planning on what to do. First, I will NOT drive her today and park in airport parking (although it breaks my heart to leave her) as it might rain or --heaven forbid!--hail might fall. I have her all cleaned up with her top up so she doesn't get dusty while sitting in the garage. My husband has indicated that he will not drive her--even though I magnanimously told him he could (as I didn't want to appear to be too obsessive. Although I was glad he said wouldn't take her out. LOL.)
In the next few minutes I am off to the airport driving a mini van.
Do I have it bad???

You always miss your MINI when away. You miss him/her worse when you see others motoring happily along when you're away from yours.
I'm getting a little teary-eyed just thinking about it. I'm going out to the parking lot to be with my MINI right now!

I think that makes total sense. Now that I'm driving my MINI to work every day, I'm starting to realize that I really look forward to the commute just so that I can drive her.
(Note: I look forward to driving Stella, not necessarily fending off crazy drivers also trying to get to work

ha ha... ARE YOU READING MY MIND???
As I type... my darling Mini is being destroyed and rebuilt from scratch at the plant. All I have been consumed with is 3 trips I am taking this fall and how I will have to leave my baby....WHO I HAVE NEVER SEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Someone pass me a white jacket with buckles. Thanks...

Yes you are a miniac
. I have to drive my vehicle (the mini was purchased as a second car for my hubby) Tuesday - Thursday because of car pool, and it kills me. I miss driving the mini, I never thought I would enjoy a car so much.

NO, not really. I MISS my wife and daughter when I or they are away. After driving a rental car for 3 weeks I was glad to get back to a new MINI, but I wouldn't say I "missed" the old one talking from a emotional level. I just like driving the MINI over the other cars.
Totally know what you mean. We went to Winter Park, Colorado for a week and I really wanted a convertible to drive, so we rented a Chrysler Sebring. It really made me appreciate my car.

I went up to northern california this weekend to visit San Francisco and Berkeley areas and totally wanted to drive my MCS instead of the Honda Accord I was in, trying to park that car in SF is like parking a TANK! The only thing that kept me sane was that every other street had a Mini parked on it. I started counting and I think I saw around 25 Minis over the weekend..... (even a Gold colored one) Way to represent Nor Cal!
When I came back last night, my sister picked me up in my MCS and I was like awwwww yeah! I told her to move over and my Mini withdrawl was surpressed until the next trip.

The nice thing about going out of town is if you get a rental car, you know what you're missing. I'm driving a Chrysler Sebring Convertible Auto. Too long, bad body roll, choppy acceleration, yuk. I'm liking the convertible part and that's it.
I miss Pepe even more as I only had labor day weekend with him and had to go out of town.

Well I can say that I am missing my MINI. I only have 3300 miles on mine and its parked in my garage at home probably until Thanksgiving or Christmas. I took a new job thats out of state and the MINI just doesnt cut it for what I am doing...so I went from a new MINI to a 15 year old Heavy Duty Truck. Boy I miss the gas mileage as diesel here is about $3 a gallon. Heated seats, sunroof, great stereo, as well as the ability to make my way in traffic with ease....I would say I miss my MINI!
Every time I go on vacation I say, "man, I wish I had my MINI so I could ..." Well, I am leaving for vacation Friday and I am driving my MINI - to northern California, Oregon, Washington, and possibly Canada. I will probably be saying, "man, I should have flown up here" when it comes time to head home!
