Vibration after lowering?

I just installed the Eibach pro kit, its a 1" front and a 1.2" in the rear and when I get on it real hard it has a slight vibration. Before anybody says the camber is off I know it is slightly but I dont remember any vibration in my lowered honda, is this common?

others have/had this issue. See this thread... I just replaced my M7 springs with Koni coil-overs and the car is now 0.5" lower = more vibrations... it's going back up, not a problem as I bought these to get the Koni shocks...

When I replaced the entire right side axle/CV joints, the vibration went away. $430.00 plus a $30.oo core charge plus labor...I did the install myself in 1.5 hours.

It has to be the camber seeing as how I have never had this until the VERY day I installed the eibachs, its not bad but with me knowing its there is annoying!

or you broke the CV joint while you did the install... who knows.

the camber shouldn't be the issue as there are many people running
much more aggressive neg camber up front than wat you probaby
got from just lowering it.

I had them professionally installed, yeah I know they could have messed up the CV also but I am sure its no coincidence that it started on the same day it was lowered! It is barely noticable so @ the point I am not worrying about it, I will scan and post the results of my alignment so you guys can look @ them, I am no mechanic and actually it states on their that the camber is in spec but on the verge of being out on the front.

Lowering a car places the CV joints at more severe angles and added negative camber will also add to this problem. Both cause the problem; the stcok CV joints have worn according to their orientation be for you lowered the car. Now, they are being asked to wear a different pattern - hence the vibration.

his front camber is no where even near race settings.

i also noticed he has quite a bit of toe-out on the rear...
might want to get a camber/toe kit and get that back to
zero.

So all I really need is a rear camber kit or do I need a kit all the way around?

I am aware of that, I am thinking more along the line of tire wear if the toe is out.

...yes, toe out will wear tires faster than fairly moderate neg camber settings.

i would be more concerned about the wandering than just wearing out
your tires.

i think you should get both the camber and toe rods for full adjustability.

but this still doesn't address your issue about vibrations..

Has anyone with this problem installed adjustable camber plates to see if the angle of the CV joint and subsequent vibration can be dialed out?

I lowered on Eibach's a few months back. The "wear a new groove" line is bull. Installed new wheels and tires its still there...

There appears to be more threads popping up on this one.
