R50/53 How does one de-activate self-locking doors ?

How does one de-activate self-locking doors ?

I bought a '03 Mini, can this be done? I don't like this feature at all!

Unfortunately, the only choice is to take it to the dealer and get it re-programmed. You may get lucky, but expect to pay 1/2 to a whole hour's labor for the 2 minutes it takes.
