Man the look on his face when I said I have a mini

Today I went to the fish store to buy a new fish tank. I'm getting a 90 gallon. That measures 48" x 18" x 24". The guy asked me what kinda car I have, to see in his mind if it will fit. When I told him that I drive a mini cooper his mouth dropped. He said "there's no way man its gonna fit in that car."

I went to Home Depot the other day and bought four 48" light fixtures and six 8' shelves - good thing I have a cabrio! It was kinda funny looking though.

I bought a table from IKEA that the box was 38 x 6 x 60.

That was a fun task. I had guys helping me get it into the car just to see if it would fit. Stuck out about 2 feet but it fit.

My wife and I bought a 29" TV. It fit perfectly, in box. Not an inch to spare front/back, side to side or top/bottom. We put the seats down and gave it a go. We didn't even realize our dilema until we were in the parking lot contemplating what we had to do.

Haha, yes it will NOT fit in the Mini, maybe if you tied it to the top...

I recently bought a 90 Gallon Fish tank with the very same dimensions and it barely fit into my Nissan Pathfinder, in fact the guy moving the tank into my Pathy smashed his fingers while putting it in because there was barely any space left.

By the way, what kind of fish are you putting into your Fish Tank?

I recall having read somewhere that the MINI can take up to a 36" TV [in the box] when the seats are folded down. I KNOW it will accommodate 2 bamboo/cane porch chairs and 2 2-ft square bamboo/cane footstools, each with full cushions

I got a telescope for xmas. The loading dock staff laughed until I slid the 2'x2'x5' box right in. I pushed the passenger seat all the way up, dropped half the rear seat, and had room to close the hatch.

My own personal record is three complete Dell desktop systems with Dell 19" LCDs and speaker kits....all in the original Dell shipping boxes, which aren't small. And the rear hatch was closed. The secret was putting 2 of the Dell CPU boxes in the front passenger's seat.

The Boot was all the way open on mine but I had it tied down to the hooks inside the boot. There are four hooks inside that things can be tied down to.

Having a roof rack also makes a huge difference.

At present, my car is laden with a stereo tuner, CD and combo Amp, all in original packaging; a 2 drawer metal file cabinet; garbage bag full of shoes; 2 flat boxes approx 2" x 32" x 28"; a giant stuffed bag of... stuff; a small file box; train case; 2 laptops; 2 shoeboxes and a giant oval ceramic platter.

And I can still see out of the back window.
