2006 owners: want a PDF of the 2006 Owner's Manual?

... then let's campaign MINIUSA to post it online.

Sometimes I want to look up something in the Owner's Manual, and I prefer to use my computer rather than running down to my car and digging it out of the glove box.

The 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005 Owner's Manuals are all available online at the MINI Owner's Lounge (MotoringFile also uses links to those copies). The 2006 model year is now a year old (my 2006 Pepper White MCC started production around now a year ago) and the manual still hasn't been posted. I e-mailed MINIUSA last week and had no response. They may take notice if more people requested it. The squeaky wheel gets the oil! Go to miniusa.com or the Owner's Lounge and click on the Contact link to send them an e-mail. Tell them you'd like the 2006 Owner's Manual in PDF version, just like it is available for earlier years.

Strength in numbers, we can do this together!

Thanks! I actually needed the 05 one and just hadn't had time to look..and can't get it at the OL since my car was sold in Europe and thus isn't in the MINIUSA.COM database. :(

There are quite a few differences in this Manual and the one I have...cause I got the Euro manual. Like on the first cockpit diagram it shows my wheel being on the right side........hehe.

Maybe the '06 manual is no different to the '05

MINI USA dosnt recognize your VIN as a MINI, i thought VINs were universal?

The differences are minor to be sure, but they are there. The '06 manual is 6 pages longer than the '05. There are small edits and rewordings scattered through the manual, and a few additional diagrams.

Universal, yes, but MINIUSA only has the VIN#'s from the American sold ones in their database evidently, that's what the MINIUSA rep told me that dealt with transferring my MINI's warranty from Germany over to the USA. Thus why I can't sign up for the owner's lounge, when I put the VIN in it tells me that it isn't in the database.

I would love to get the PDF version of the owners manual.

Liquid is correct. If you buy your MINI overseas, even if its a US spec MINI, then you are not able to register under the MINIUSA website. Only MINI's that are bought in US are able to register their MINI's on the site. Since I bought my MINI in Germany, my service and warranty work is done here so the VIN will be registered under the European division of MINI. When I return, then my warranty, VIN# and all, will transfer to the US division. This is done my taking your key fob to any US MINI dealership and having them update the database. There is also some paperwork involved where something gets mailed to MINIUSA. If you speak German, you can always register under the MINI.de site
