Can you delete your thread?

I was curious...can you delete a thread you created???

The only things I can think of

1) perhaps ask a moderator to delete it, or what I have done on other boards is:

go to edit...(advanced to get to the title) delete what you want and then type" deleted by author" so people trying to read it will not be confused .
Of course this will not remove any answers, or answers that contain your orig msg that was quoted.

members can not delete their own threads. If you have a request for a thread to be deleted (not because the discussion didn't go the way you thought it would), PM a moderator and explain why you'd like it deleted. A link to the thread would also be helpful.
