I was just wondering what age all the Manitoba MINI drivers are? It would be interesting to know!

How does that convert to US age? Is that metric?

 

Well, I guess I am more than double that age...

26 years ago, I lived in Calgary, where I got my first ride ever in a Mini. It was a buddy's 1970 British Racing Green Cooper S. It had just snowed a bunch, and everybody was getting stuck trying to go up the 14th Street NW hill. So my buddy calmly roared up the hill, snow flying every which way...on the sidewalk! Luckily there weren't any pedestrians for us to dodge on the way up...

You should have seen the expressions of the drivers of all those old clunker rear-wheel drive vehicles that were stuck and blocking traffic on the road... a truly priceless memory!

I became an instant Mini fan that day, and it only took 22 years before I could own one that came with a factory warranty.
