MTTS Chicago to Indianapolis

I want to join the drive down to Indy and go to the events, but I did not sign up for MTTS b/c I just picked my new MC two weeks ago. Does anyone have any extra wristband that I could use/borrow. I could give it back after the event if you would like.

Thanks!

My wife and I are doing the St. L to Indy leg, and have decided to take our 10 year old son with - but we only have two wrist bands. If anyone has an extra I'd sure appreciate it.

Need a band, too?

Hey, everyone.

I'm picking up my '06 JCW MCS in NJ next Tuesday. That will put me in Indy Wed afternoon for the events. I didn't sign up ahead of time. Am I out of luck, or can I just show up for the tour & lap around Indy?

Thanks.

I believe you do need a wristband for this stuff. You can probably snag one from someone who cannot make the event, or try hitting up someone from the west coast to mail you one, if they have already finished the parts they are doing..

MTTS Kit...

Hi all,

Unfortunately I've had to cancel my plans to attend the MTTS St Louis -> Indy leg. (That 'j-o-b' thing just got in the way...)

Anyway, I have a two person MTTS kit that I won't be needing. For those of you that don't have one, it's a nicely done piece of marketing. In any case, there are two wrist bands included that I won't be using.

The only $$ involved will be any cost of shipping. I'm guessing at this late date I will need to FedEx this to anyone outside of the Milwaukee WI area.

Any takers? I suggest a PM as I may not have time to monitor this thread.

UPDATE 2006-08-23 10:36am: I now have one remaining wristband. I have moved the kit and one of the wristbands. If someone needs another wristband, let me know...

The track lap will cost a donation of $10, the musuem $3 p/p, according to the MINIUSA agenda for the leg. If you wave your MINI key or your wristband, I don't think it will help much either way. I don't forsee not having wristbands, allowing any MINI to be left out of the reindeer games. That'll be a potential black eye for customer relations on MINIUSA's part.

Just some additional info - you DO NOT need wristbands for the events on the 30th at the Motor Speedway. All you need is a MINI. This is from the MINICCI forum:

We been informed that you do not have to be registered for MTTS to participate in the fun at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on the 30th. Your ticket in is your MINI and your donation. (No MINI no Ticky ) The Yellow shirts at the track have been instructed to admit only MINI's. You need to enter through the main gate on 16th Street that you would normally enter to go to the museum.

Officially the event is from 2PM to 6PM but you should be inside the track no later than 5PM if you want to take the lap on the famous oval. There will be lots to do if you are there earlier but be advised you must be back in your car with the motor running at 5:30 to participate in the historic parade lap at the Brickyard.
