About 2000 miles ago, I upgraded my springs to the Tein s tech springs. Since then, my right rear corner squeeks when the slightest bump is encountered. The sound was small at first, but later grew in frequency and intensity! I believe this side strut may bottem out when cornering with 3+ people in the car! Thanks!

 

got to be that Recaro cell phone holder that's making the noise. lol

raise your car without removing the wheel and spray a dab of WD40
where the spring meets the top mount. drive around to see if the
noise goes away. if yes, you found where it's coming from.
remove strut, wrap teflon tape on the spring, reassemble.

if the squeek continues, remove the wheel and spray a dab on the
swaybar bushing. if it goes away, then grease up your swaybar
bushing inside, outside, and on the bottom.

the WD40 is only for locating the squeek, not as your premanent
fix.

about the bottoming out, did you cut the bumpstops when you installed it?
the rates are pretty similar to the H-Sports so shouldn't bottom out if
you cut the bumpstops by maybe 1" or so.

 

Thanks! I cut the bump stops for either the fronts or the rears, but I cant remember! I guess theres only one way to find out! Thanks a lot Ken!
