R52 Windscreen holder
Windscreen holder
Ok, so my girlfriend got me a wind screen as a present (HOW AWESOME).. I'm LOVING it!!!
Being a graphic designer, I loved the holder/bag/packaging it came in. It's like a long messenger bag, but only opens on the bottom.
Here's my question... what do you guys do with these? Do you have some other use for the bag? Do you keep it in the boot?

In the garage. I haven't really seen the need to put the screen back in the bag when I'm not using it.

In the trunk. When the screen isn't in use it goes in the bag and into the trunk. My trunk is kind of packed (subwoofer, small compressor, fix a flat and window wipes) so I wouldn't trust the windscreen not getting torn up if I didn't put it in the bag.

Help!
Help!
So I went back to the dealership and had them show me.
Here is the easiest way of doing it:
Take the windscreen out and fold the 2 screens together.
Look at both ends where the 2 screens connect. One end will have a screw, the other doesn't. The one that doesn't have a screw, is the one that you want.
Prop the windscreen on the ground, screw-side down. This will give you some leverage.
Press the sliding bar down hard as far as it can go. This should release the 2 halves of the windscreen and you will now be able to fold the whole thing up easily.
If this doesn't work, have your dealer show you how to do it.

It's way overpriced but it does work great. They ought to give you a simple carrying bag instead of the over-engineered luggage that comes with it that probably adds another $50 to the cost. Until there is an aftermarket one that's cheaper we don't have much choice. Don't pay retail as thay can be had for around $300 new from some discount dealers.
the bag
i am thinking of using the bag to carry items to and from work
when its folded it looks just like a messenger bag.
i think they designed it to be used for more then just screen storage
as for the price i drove today with the windscreen in for the first time it was a chilly 48 outside
with windows up and heated seats on it was perect
yes its pricey
but its an investment and will way extend the top down season up north
