Ive had my car for a week and a half now. Just yesterday, I saw the spitting image of my car on my way home. I honked and waved and the other driver responded in kind.

Someone else in the area has good taste :D

 

Earlier this year I was running errands in Gromit and had stopped at a stop sign and looked to my left for traffic. Imagine my surprise when I saw MY CAR coming down the road at me! Turned out it was a convertible S instead, but was identical to my car except for the wheels. I waved as they went by and they looked at me like I was crazy. I pulled out behind them and followed them a couple of blocks until they turned off. I tapped my horn as I went by them-still no wave or anything.

Kind of strange since there aren't that many MINIs around where I live, and this was the only other Hot Orange one I have ever seen on the road.

 

2percooper's MC was like a twin to mine... but he sold his car.

Yes as a matter of fact. The guy actually lives about 5 houses down from mine.

 

A couple months ago I was looking for a parking spot at IKEA, and suddenly another black MINI rolled out of a spot just 30 feet in front of me. We waved and almost as soon as he was out I was in.

 

I have happily never seen my twin - I don't even think I've seen anyone on the internet with my exact car, which I love!

 

Yep I sure have. There is another CR/B MCS in the area. We both bought from the same dealer. The cars were delivered on the same ship and auto transporter. Oh and the VIN numbers are different by 2. In other words, there was one car on the assembly line between them

 

I doubt if I ever will see another car like mine.

I haven't seen my twin yet... I've come close, but there's usually at least one color difference visible on the outside (either roof or wheels).

That's what happens when you get one of the less popular colors. I'm still waiting to take that elusive "three velvet red MINIs at once" picture.

havent seen my exact buddy yet, but i am steadily approaching becoming a clone of misfitoys cooper

 

I saw my twin the other day. He even had the white dice hanging from the RVM. His was just a Cooper though :-)

 

My wife was coming home on the 101 fwy and came upon our Minis twin....D/S D/S......the twins license plate said something like "ONLY 1" or 1 Only"......she said his jaw dropped when he saw his "1 ONLY" twin......very funny situation.

 

Never saw a twin of my first MCS DS/W and have not seen a twin for my new MCS SB/S w/silver stripe.

i don't see twins, but i do see "ghosts" of my stock 06 DS/B w/ s-lites...

 

Never see the twin of mine, but I'm sure those who spring for those GeePee things will see their twins/triplets/quadruplets ad infinitum fairly frequently....

Besides, what are the chances of having an exact twin (incl exterior and interior configurations) even with OEM equipment? I mean, I see other CR/B MCSs, but they're all different in some way! JB

 

Similar but not an exact match to my HBB w/BBS.. I was looking at the MOT 2006 in New Hampshire this past June but never saw one just like mine...

 

Well, down the street there is a place that fixes up classic Mini's and lo and behold, there was a classic Mini with the same paint scheme as our '06 SB/S MCS JCW!!!!

We had to sneak over and snap a picture. The cool thing about this place is that they usually have a gaggle of the little classic Mini's parked out front, there are like 5-6 of them taking up the space that 2-3 regular cars/SUV's would take.
