[Hawaii] Activate Secret Squirrels!
(insert Bat Signal Here)
My fiance just spotted a classic Mini we've never seen before. It was in the area near the downtown Sams Club, and she believes it was on Sheridan Street next to "Club Aira" (spelling?). It's in some fenced area that she thinks said "Motor Supply" or something to that effect. The car in question is at least a MK3 car (1970-ish or 71), so it has internal door hinges. It had a square marquee plate on the back, and she said it was sort of a pearlescent green. She only had a few seconds to look at it, so she wasn't able to get anything other than that & the license plate. I won't post the full plate, but it was "GXZ ___".
Anyone near that location that could check it out? I probably won't be able to get down there until Friday to check it out otherwise.
Thanks!

Ask cwlouis - he can probably investigate for you.
Hahahaha. I would think that the VP of the club was a little more interested in growing membership.
Just teasin' of course.
It's almost Friday - I'll try to swing by there and see what I can see. A good excuse to get the '66 out of the barn.

That's what Alli said - yeah, sounds like the car. I've got to go over to the airport to pick up the 'ole paycheck today (stupid company doesn't have direct deposit), so I may detour through town on my way back.
They're multiplying!
Can you shoot me an e-mail or give me a call, B? I'd love to find this guy and talk to him!
There's a medium blue w/ white strpes MK3 (like the '71 I had) that I saw down at the Waikiki end of Kapahulu a year or two ago. Never found who it was, but I believe Teresa S. at least knows who it is.
Dammit. Might have to start up a Classic club if they keep showin up. ...that is if I can get Teresa and Barry off their butts to get their Innocenti running!

Latka......tha Classic Mini stalker.
Quit stalking and go find your charger.
I thought it was on my desk just buried...now I gotta tear things apart and find it! Doh!
Went by the Goodyear on Sheridan St to look at that Mini. It was dark and across the parking lot, but from what I could tell it's a MK3 car (early 70s) (MK4 cars had a turn signal indicator above the front wheel on the fender). 10 inch wheels. White roof. Couldn't tell if it was a "1000" or not, but it had the square badge so most likely it is. Hopefully very soon I can go by when they're open and leave a note for the owner.

Your country is depending on you!
