R/C MINI Raffle Drawing 9/23 !!
R/C MINI Raffle Drawing 9/23 !!
As I assume most of you know by now, M2C2 is raffling a 1/6 scale R/C MINI to raise money for the club as well as the Speedway Childrens Charities.
Every member is being asked to try to sell (and/or buy)
at least 10 tickets, which will be available from Count de Monet (aka Trainman) at the BBQ on Saturday. Luke will have the MINI there so everyone can see it.
If everyone works hard selling tickets to friends, family, co-workers, themselves, etc., we should have a very successful raffle. The drawing will be at the Annual Meeting in Charlotte on September 23rd. You don't have to be present to win.
Tickets are $2 each, 3 for $5 or 7 for $10. They will also be available on-line using Paypal as soon as this gets set up on our site. If you have any questions, any officer should be able to answer it or direct you to someone who can.
To purchase tickets on-line using PayPal, go to www.m2c2.org.

Rochelle,
Your Regional VP should be able to assist you in that regard. You're in Charlotte, right? In that case, that would be Allen Bellamy. He will be there Saturday and should be getting a suppy of tickets to distribute to Charlotte Chapter folks so contact him.
Also, you would be able to get tickets at the Quarterly Meeting here in Hickory on 6/24 (see related thread). Hope to see you there.

It was decided at the BBQ in Greenville on Saturday that members should contact their Regional VP (click on the Officers section on M2C2.org if you don't know who this is) to get tickets to sell or purchase. If you contact them and they act like they don't know what you're talking about, you can either contact me, the Treasurer (Ed K.) or the President (Luke S.). Regional VPs will be responsible for collecting the sold ticket stubs and money from their regional members. Let me know if you have other questions. I'm sure that there will be a few bugs to work out as we go along but I know this will be a successful raffle.

Now that the raffle has officially begun, and being the competitive bunch that we are, I thought it would be fun to get a little competition going as to who can sell the most tickets.
I might even be willing to award a prize to the person who sells the most!!!
As of today, I have sold 23. Anybody done better than that?

I originally started this thread to keep up interest in the raffle and give folks a chance to report how many tickets they've sold. As the "unofficial coordinator" of the raffle, it'd by nice to get periodic reports of how tickets are selling. Please take a few moments to let me know how you're doing. Remember that we're only asking each member to try to sell/buy at least 10 tickets. And also remember, your Chapter VP is supposed to collect your ticket stubs and the money before the Annual Meeting in Sept. So, if you haven't heard from them by then, you will need to contact them yourself because they might not know you have sold any tickets.
PLEASE, PLEASE, let me know if you have any questions or if you need tickets, let me know that and we'll get them to you.

...it's like when Florida has a huge amount of $$$ in the lotttery jackpot: people spend stoopid amounts of $$$ trying to buy tickets, even though we all know it only takes one to win. Did anyone in the state of Fl win that outrageous jackpot? No-o, it was the working slob just across the GA/FL state border that won it...and they only bought one ticket.

This really needs to be listed in the "MINI raffles" section of NAM as we originally discussed. We're missing out on a lot of potential ticket buyers by only having it listed in our club forum. We've already got the go ahead from Mark Ferguson to do it. He even volunteered to set it up if we sent him the pics and info for it.
Can I buy tix at the meet and eat tomorrow? The Mrs. won't let me use Paypal b/c it's tied to our credit card and we have a moratorium on. ;-) If nothing else, I'll just send a check, (in the envelope) to the treasurer and get 'em that way...

My bubble is officially busted!! I thought I was doing good.
I better get to work!!!!!
